My Research

This past summer I worked on a number of projects with Chris Reed, a professor in the Art Department at LFC.

For the first few weeks, we worked on a project for GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) looking at Gay identity, memory, and culture through Will and Grace. I got paid to watch Will & Grace, I don't think I could have asked for much more. Soon, I'll have some links to sites and perhaps the paper, if possible.

The remainder of the summer was spent looking for patterns of interior design and a specific article in Vanity Fair. After searching through ten years of issues futily looking for this article, I came to a horrible realization. Upon reshelving the 1935 volume of this magazine, I looked immediately to the right and saw an index with every article published in Vanity Fair from 1913-1936. I'm still getting over this highly traumatic experience.

Finally, we worked on a survey for the AIG (Academic Innovation Group) at the college asking students how they felt about academic life in and outside of the classroom. To avoid excessive scrolling, click here to view the survey.
